inp.polri.go.id - Lampung. The Lampung Regional Police urged the public not to be easily influenced by rumors or videos related to the pocong (ghost) terror circulating on social media.
The police ensured that various security measures are being implemented to maintain a safe and conducive public order and security situation throughout Lampung.
Lampung Regional Police Public Relations Chief, Senior Superintendent Yuni Iswandari Yuyun, emphasized that the police have intensified various preventive activities, including routine patrols and the Patroli Janji Jaga QR Code program.
According to her, these activities aim to provide a sense of security to the public and prevent the spread of unrest due to unverified information.
"The public need not worry about the ghost terror issue as we continue to take security measures and monitor the situation in the field," she said on Friday (5/29/2026).
She explained that the spread of information from unclear sources has the potential to cause panic and disrupt public order. Therefore, the public is urged to be more discerning in accepting and sharing information circulating on social media.
"Don't easily believe or spread unverified information. If you see anything suspicious, report it immediately to the police," said Yuni.
In addition to increasing night patrols, the police are also strengthening surveillance in residential areas and locations considered vulnerable to public order disturbances.
This measure is taken to anticipate the possibility of parties exploiting the shroud terror issue to incite fear among the community.
The Lampung Regional Police are also encouraging the public to play an active role in maintaining neighborhood security by increasing vigilance and reviving night patrols with local officials.
"We urge the entire community to remain calm, avoid panic, and work together to maintain a safe, comfortable, and conducive security situation," concluded Yuni.
