This was stated by Central Java Police PR Chief, Grand Commissioner Stefanus Satake Bayu Setianto. “We will anticipate issues who deliberately divide us ahead 2024 General Elections. Do not easily swayed by issues circulating in social media which source from invalid source. Be wise in filtering the news and let us together maintain the state unity for the better of us all,” says Stefanus on Monday (11/6/2023). He stressed that the government, security apparatus, election organizer and public elements continuously solidify its cooperation to prevent hoax to realize democracy goals through 2024 General Elections. “Political hoax is very potent to cause division and chaos amidst the community. We definitely did not want the democracy of our state get disrupted. General hoax is also must be paid attention to due to its potential for hate speech and defamation,” says the PR Chief.
