inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Vice Minister of Religion, Romo R Muhammad Syafi’i says the political gesture of President Prabowo demonstrates the Indonesian democratic characteristic.

“We cannot separate this gesture since he was running for the 2019 Presidential Election where he wants to show the real Indonesian democratic characteristic,” says Romo during the event of Indonesian National Police (INP) Strategy in Implementing Cooling System to Maintain Social Stability Following 2024 Regional Head Election on Tuesday (12/10/2024).

According to Romo, President Prabowo has the characteristics of befriending his political rivals after the election is over. Even, says Romo, he saw that Prabowo was determined to eliminate the concept of making the election losing parties to be the government opposition.

Romo believes that the gesture of President Prabowo is a demonstration of Pancasila democracy, and he appreciates it.
