Inp.polri.go.id - Batam. The Chief of the Riau Islands Regional Police, Inspector General Asep Safrudin, led the 2026 "Sabuk Kamtibmas" security briefing assembly at the Bhayangkara Field in Batam on Monday (22/6/2026). 

The strategic security briefing was organized to reinforce public partnership and maintain public order across the archipelago's jurisdiction.

"Security stability is a vital factor in supporting the investment climate and regional economic growth," said Chief Asep.

Given the Riau Islands' highly strategic position bordering the international shipping lanes of the Malacca Strait, he highlighted that cross-element collaboration is crucial to curb growing security challenges, such as the theft of public infrastructure. 

Chief Asep urged citizens to remain proactive and report any suspicious activities through the official 110 police hotline. To mark the close of the assembly, the regional police headquarters distributed 500 basic food packages as social aid to the event's participants.
