inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Secretariat President has begun distributing the invitation to former president and vice president, to public figures, to attend the 79th Independence Day Ceremony on August 17th, 2024.

The Deputy of Protocol, Pers, and Secretariat President Media Sector, Yusuf Permana says that the invitation for the former president needs to be confirmed as soon as possible so that they can develop a measure to welcome their arrival.

“The invitation that we sent is for the ceremony in Jakarta Presidential Palace and Nusantara Capital City Presidential Palace,” said Deputy Yusuf.

He says that the invitation for IKN was delivered by all national institution chiefs, ministries, Military Commander, Indonesian National Police Chief, military chief of staff, to religious leaders, community leaders, traditional leaders and cultural figures.

On the other hand, the elected president Prabowo Subianto is also invited to accompany President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo during the ceremony.

“In the Nusantara Capital City, we prepared around 1,400 chairs, but we will prepare more seats for the public and construction workers,” explains Yusuf.

Meanwhile, those who have been invited to Jakarta Presidential Palace are Vice President Ma’ruf Amin and the elected vice president Gibran Rakabumin along with other former vice presidents.
