Inp.polri.go.id - Semarang.  The Semarang City Sub-regional Police in Central Java launched a joint nighttime operation targeting illegal street racing hotspots as part of Operation Patuh Candi 2025.

“A firm approach is necessary to deter repeat traffic offenders,” said Semarang Police Head of Public Relations Senior Inspector Agung Setiyo Budi on Saturday (19/7/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

The operation, held on Jalan Dr. Cipto, which is known for frequent racing incidents, engaged the police, the military, and local agencies. Authorities issued 46 traffic citations for violations such as underage driving, riding with more than two passengers, driving under the influence, and using illegal exhaust pipes.

Police confiscated 36 driver’s licenses and vehicle registration documents, and impounded 10 motorcycles.

Operation Patuh Candi 2025 runs from 14 to 27 July 2025, targeting seven major types of traffic violations.
