Inp.polri.go.id - Gresik.  A deadly collision between a minibus and a passenger bus on Jalan Raya Pantura in Gresik, East Java, killed seven people and injured two on Thursday morning (10/4/2025).

Gresik Sub-regional Police confirmed that the Isuzu Panther, carrying a family traveling from Tuban to Surabaya, lost control and veered into the opposite lane after attempting to return to the road from the shoulder. It then collided with a Rajawali Indah bus coming from the opposite direction.

All seven fatalities were passengers in the minibus. The bus driver and one passenger sustained minor injuries. The victims have been transported to RSUD Ibnu Sina hospital in Gresik..

"The vehicle was believed to have slipped, and the driver lost control before hitting the bus," said Gresik Police Traffic Unit Chief Superintendent Rizki Julianda, as reported by antaranews.com.

Traffic at the location has returned to normal.
