Inp.polri.go.id - Sidoarjo. The Traffic Unit of the Sidoarjo City Sub-reegional Police earned a MURI record for operating a continuous 24-hour mobile driver's license renewal service for 17 consecutive days, on Monday (17/8/2026).

Titled "SIM Keliling Sahabat Sidoarjo," the non-stop public service initiative ran from 30 July through 15 August 2026. The continuous schedule allowed local residents flexible access to extend their driver's license validity without interrupting standard working hours.

Sidoarjo Police Chief Senior Superintendent Christian Tobing appreciated the operational team and the public's active participation in maintaining legal driving compliance.

"This award is the result of collective effort," he said. "We thank our leadership for their guidance, our personnel for their dedicated work, and the public for their growing awareness regarding driver’s license validity."

Sidoarjo Police Traffic Unit Chief Senior Inspector Yudhi Anugrah Putra added that the MURI recognition serves as motivation for the unit to continue developing accessible, efficient, and community-focused public services.
