inp.polri.go.id – Swedish police spokeswoman Diana Qudhaib confirmed a small seaplane crashed in a lake, central Sweden on Monday (18/7).
"We have a confirmed there was a plane crash, which happened in the afternoon," Diana Qudhaib said.
He said the plane was a two-engine seaplane that took off from a nearby airfield. The plane had two passengers who were confirmed to be both German nationals.
Swedish police, said Diana Qudhaib, immediately carried out a rescue operation. An ambulance helicopter allowed them to find one of the two passengers on the plane.
"Attempts were made to resuscitate him, but a man in his 60s died," Qudhaib said.
Meanwhile, one other passenger was declared missing. Police will continue the search for the person on Tuesday (19/7).
Police also said that a preliminary investigation had been launched.
