inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) said that the evacuation of flood victims in Jakarta and its surroundings was a collaboration with many parties.

"In the search and rescue of flood victims, our operations were carried out with the collaboration of all parties. We are working together on this," said BNPB Main Secretary Rustian, Thursday (6/3/2025).

The collaboration in the rescue and evacuation of flood victims consists of the Central Government, Regional Government, TNI/Polri, academics, experts and encouragement from the business world and non-governmental organization (NGO) communities.

The Secretary of BNPB said that the flooding in Jabodetabek since Tuesday (3/4/2025) has become a five-year cycle. BNPB also continues to carry out weather modification technology to minimize heavy rain in the local area.

"We are also utilizing weather modification technology, and this is what helps us. According to BMKG, our region is now hit by extreme weather with many downpours in the region. So, with this technology, we are trying to direct these rains to the sea,” explains Rustian.

BNPB RI is grateful that it can at least minimize the loss of life due to the flooding, although the material losses are heavy.
