Inp.polri.go.id - East Ogan Komering Ulu. The East Ogan Komering Ulu Sub-regional Police, on behalf of the South Kalimantan Regional Police, conducted a social outreach initiative by distributing basic food necessities to orphans at the Darul Hijrah Boarding School in Martapura District, East OKU Regency, on Saturday (19/9//2026).

East Ogan Komering Ulu Police officers delivered essential food packages containing eggs, cooking oil, sugar, tea, milk, instant noodles, and canned sardines directly to the students.

"This charitable distribution serves as an expression of our empathy toward those needing support, reinforcing social cohesion and public trust," said East Ogan Komering Ulu Chief Superintendent Dr. Lalu Hedwin Hanggar.

South Kalimantan Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Nandang Mu'min Wijaya said that the South Sumatra Police encourages local police units to maintain an approachable and humanistic police presence. 

He noted that social programs build empathy among personnel while fostering strong community partnerships beyond primary law enforcement duties.
