Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The South Sumatra Regional Police won three awards at the 2026 Police Appreciation for the Community Awarding Day in South Jakarta on Tuesday (11/8/2026)
The honors included third place for Best Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Task Force, second place for Exemplary Neighborhood Watch, and third place for Police Sub-regional-level Food Security Innovation by the East Ogan Komering Ulu Sub-regional Police. The event was held during the 80th Bhayangkara Day celebrations.
South Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General Sandi Nugroho said that the awards belong to the public and the police force together.
"This award is concrete proof that the food security and neighborhood watch programs we run with the community have a national impact," he said.
South Sumatra Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Nandang Mu’min Wijaya added that the achievement aligns with the leadership's call to provide real benefits to the community through collaborative programs.
