Inp.polri.go.id - Palangkaraya. The Indonesian National Police (INP) strengthened forest and land fire containment in Central Kalimantan by combining specialized vehicles, drone technology, heat-resistant safety gear, and peatland water engineering on Friday (11/92026).
Inspecting the main post in Palangka Raya, INP Deputy Chief Commissioner GeneralDedi Prasetyo evaluated equipment readiness, including thermal drones, high-capacity water pumps, modified vehicles, and 4,000 liters of X-Fire solution, to access remote burn sites amid dangerous air quality levels.
"Maximum effort is mandatory, as this is a shared responsibility," he said..
Strategy focused on peatland water management through canal blocking, wells, and 104 retention basins to restore groundwater levels, addressing 107,309 hotspots and 9,228 hectares of burned land.
The INP also deployed hundreds of officer trainees across six regional police forces for early detection, prevention, and community education.
