Inp.polri.go.id - Sukoharjo. Several students at SDN Dukuh 03 elementary school in Sukoharjo, Central Java, suffered from food poisoning symptoms after consuming meals provided through the free nutritious meal program on Thursday (16/1/2025).
The incident occurred around 9.30 am, shortly after the meals, which included fried chicken, rice, vegetable stir-fry, dragon fruit, and milk, were delivered at 9 am. Ten out of 200 students reported nausea, dizziness, and one experienced vomiting.
Some students claimed the fried chicken smelled spoiled. School staff immediately recalled the remaining food and contacted health authorities.
Head of Sukoharjo City Health Center, Kunari Mahanani, confirmed the chicken was undercooked, as admitted by 0726 Military Command in Sukoharjo, which manages the program.
Affected students were treated by health officials and given medication. No severe cases required hospitalization.
Hasan Nasbi, the Head of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), confirmed that the incident was handled promptly and according to standard operating procedures .
