inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The International Relations of Indonesian National Police (INP) has successfully repatriated the wanted murderer with the initials of MKA from Malaysia to Indonesia on Sunday (10/11/2026).
MKA was then to be processed by the Criminal Investigation Unit of Surabaya Sub-regional City Police.
Head of the INP International Relations, Inspector General Untung Widyatmoko, says that MKA was previously apprehended by the Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) on October 2, 2026. The repatriation was successful thanks to coordination between INP and PDRM.
“The person in concern has been arrested by PDRM on October 2, 2026 and has been repatriated to Indonesia on October 11, 2026 after our coordination with the Malaysian authorities,” says Untung in Jakarta, Monday (10/12/2026).
Untung explains that MKA is a suspect of a murder of a woman with the initials SNI. The incident occurred in Surabaya, East Java, on June 25, 2026. SNI was found dead with several stab wounds on her body.
Two days after the murder, MKA allegedly escaped to Malaysia through Surabaya-Dumai-Port Dickson. His departure was said to be facilitated by an agency offering a job in Malaysia.
Upon his arrival, MKA continued his escape to Kuala Lumpur by working a contractor company in Sungai Buloh, Selangor.
“According to the report, he was working illegally, without permit and he was under suspicion of the Malaysia authorities,” explains Untung.
In September 2026, the Malaysian authorities looked into his profile and monitored him by coordinating with the local authorities.
The investigation was bearing a result on Friday (10/2/2026) as MKA was arrested by Team E3 Special Branch PDRM Bukit Aman on violation against immigration law.
Following the arrest, the INP Attaché in Kuala Lumpur coordinated with relevant authorities to ensure that immigration procedures and repatriation preparations followed procedures.
On Wednesday (10/7/2026), Malaysian authorities issued an expulsion order as part of the immigration process prior to MKA's repatriation to Indonesia.
MKA finally arrived in Jakarta on Sunday (10/11/2026). He was subsequently handed over to investigators from the Surabaya Sub-regional City Police Criminal Investigation Unit to undergo legal proceedings related to the alleged murder case.
