inp.polri.go.id - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has officially changed the names of several street in the capital city area and there have been 22 changes taken from Betawi figures. Head of the Police Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas), Inspector General Firman Santybudi explained that people affected by these changes are not required to renew their vehicle registration certificates (STNK). “Communities affected by the change in 22 street names are not required to renew their STNK. We will adjust the data on the change in street names," explained Kakorlantas in Jakarta, Tuesday (28/6/22). According to him, the STNK itself will be changed entirely when they are about to register their STNK in its fifth year or when the STNK Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) is renewed. The process will be carried out steadily. "After the fifth year, when the STNK has expired, then it will be replaced with the new street names, and the process will be gradual," he explained. Regarding the change in street names in Jakarta, the police stated their support which was conveyed by the Governor of DKI and made adjustments to vehicle data.
