The three crews and five passengers of a helicopter carrying the entourage of the Jambi Regional Police, including Chief of Jambi Regional Police Inspector General Rusdi Hartono, which crashed recently in the Kerinci mountain, Jambi were stable, an official said on Monday (2/20/23).

“Based on the report I have, the condition of passengers and crews are stable,” said Head of Public Relation Division of Indonesian National Police (INP) Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo.

He said that the INP has continued the evacuation process of the helicopter, which was forced to make an emergency landing in the jungles.

While there was no reports of fatalities, the Chief of Jambi Regional Police has been reported to have sustained injuries and required immediate medical attention. The Bhayangkara Jambi Regional Police Hospital and the Kerinci Hospital, have been prepared to treat them.

"If the treatment at the hospital is not adequate, we will fly them to Jakarta for more efficient and effective medical treatment," the spokesperson added.
