The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo held a conversation with members of Damai Cartenz Ops through zoom meeting which reports about the current situation in Papua. “Thankfully, after the law enforcement by the joint forces of Indonesian Military Force (TNI) and INP, everything has been under control and situations have gone back to normal with people doing their daily activities,” says Head Post of Damai Cartenz Ops, Police Grand Commissioner Adjutant Egia Febri Kusumawiatmaja on Tuesday (11/7/2023). The General then relay his hope that the Damai Cartenz Ops has to continuously work together in harmony with TNI in safeguarding Papua. TNI-INP, says Sigit, has to maintain their synergy and solidarity to safeguard the government developmental programs in Papua. “Maintain your performance, harmony, solidarity, and synergy with our colleagues from TNI. Always remind yourself that we are here to safeguard the developmental program in Papua,” says the Police General. Furthermore, Sigit asked that the police also have to be present among the community as the servant of the public. Another reason is that with the new autonomous region in Papua, police have to make sure its development is safely secured. The INP Chief acknowledges that what his members carrying out in Papua is not an easy task, therefore, for their effort, the 35 members of Damai Cartenz Ops are rewarder with extraordinary promotion.
