The Greater Madago Task Force Successfully Secures 39 Evidences of Poso Terrorists

The Madago Raya Task Force (Satgas) secures 39 pieces of evidence belonging to Poso terrorist leader Ali Ahmad alias Ali Kalora and a member of Jaka Ramadhan who was hit by bullets by officers from the Army and Police in Parigi Moutong, Central Sulawesi, Saturday (19/09/21). Central Sulawesi Police Chief, Pol. Inspector-General Rudy Sufahriadi during a press conference at the Parigi Moutong Resort Police Station showing evidence belonging to the two Poso terrorists who died during a shootout with a task force in the Astina Village area, Torue District. From dozens of pieces of evidence, the task force also found explosives, including an M16 type long-barreled firearm complete with bullets and personal equipment of the two members of the East Indonesia Mujahidin (MIT) who acted in the mountainous areas of Poso, Parigi Moutong, and Sigi districts. A total of 39 items of evidence consisted of a long-barreled M16 firearm, then hemolok, backpack, jacket, chestring, blanket, sarong, pants, head flashlight, twine, pot, and meat (supplies). In addition, socks, headsets, charger heads, scissors, T-shirts, turban gloves, matches stored in bottles, fishing line, slinks, a small clothesline, rubber tires, oil-resistant bottles, tarpaulins, android cell phones, Ali Kalora's watch, as well as a tow and burn bomb. "This includes logistics in the form of rice, salt and medicine for drinking water containers, small jars, oil bottles, as well as carpentry tools, saws, two machetes, mosquito repellent, and toiletries," explained the Central Sulawesi Regional Police Chief. Joint officers from the National Armed Forces and National Police are still hunting for four people on the wanted list (DPO), remaining from the Poso terrorist group who are still hiding in the forest. In the operation to crush the group on behalf of MIT, the Madago Raya Task Force consisted of the Central Sulawesi Regional Police Mobile Brigade Unit, Infantry Battalion 714/Sintuwu Maroso, Poso Regency, which was under the Korem/123 Tadulako Command, and Military Regional XIII/Merdeka. The Mobile Brigade Unit and Special Detachment 88 Anti-Terrorist (Densus 88) of the National Police and the 502/Ujwala Yudha Infantry Battalion for Raiders. "Whatever form it takes and whoever succeeds in this mission, of course, this is a joint operation, and the units that joined have been divided into each sector," said Pol. Inspector-General Rudy Sufahriadi.
