Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police have arrested three suspects in connection with the discovery of a woman's body, identified as R (35), in the Thousand Islands on Saturday. 

Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam Indrad, the Metro Jaya Police Head of Public Relations, confirmed on Friday (19/4/2024) the arrests but has not disclosed the suspects' identities or the cause of the victim's death. 

Two of the three suspects were reportedly the victim's boyfriends, while the third was a customer, according to antaranews.com.

Preliminary investigations suggested the victim was involved in prostitution and frequently engaged in 'booking out' activities, often accompanied by one of her boyfriends, according to Superintendent Rovan Richard Mahenu, the Head of Violent crimes Sub-directorate of the Metro Jaya Police Criminal Investigation Agency.

The victim's body was found by local residents at the Ujung Pulau Pari Pier and subsequently taken to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital for autopsy. The victim was estimated to be under 30 years old, approximately 160 centimeters tall, fair-skinned, and lacked identification.
