inp.polri.go.id - The West Java Regional Police managed to uncover 40 online gambling cases in various districts and cities from January to August 2022. From that disclosure, 64 people were named suspects. "From January to August 2022, the West Java Regional Police succeeded in arresting 64 suspects in 40 online gambling cases, in addition to 29 conventional gambling cases (white coupons) were successfully revealed," explained the Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Commissioner Ibrahim Tompo, Wednesday (24/08/22). However, he still could not reveal further information regarding the roles of the suspects. Commissioner Ibrahim Tompo ensures that the West Java Regional Police will eradicate all forms of gambling, online or not, as in accordance to the order of West Java Police Chief. “West Java Police will eradicate all forms of gambling in the community in order to create a conducive situation, especially in West Java,” said the West Java Regional Police Intermediate Officer. The West Java Regional Police Head of Public Relations implores the community to immediately report to the police if they found any gambling practices, so that they could process it immediately. “Our special team in eradicating gambling is also actively act against gambling practices to its root,” concluded the Akabri graduate in 1993.
