Inp.polri.go.id - Semarang. Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, the Head of the Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps, confirmed on Tuesday (24/3/2026) that traffic conditions across major artery roads and toll networks remain under control during the 2026 Eid Al-Fitr holiday period.
"Everything is currently manageable. Both the toll roads and the arterial routes are being well-coordinated by our teams on the ground," he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
Chief Agus said that police units are now shifting focus toward local holiday return flow within metropolitan areas and high-traffic tourist destinations. Strategic security and service posts have been activated across Surakarta, Semarang, Malang, Greater Jakarta, and Bali to monitor holiday crowds.
Describing Operation Ketupat 2026 as a humanitarian mission, the Traffic Chief urged officers to remain vigilant at their stations to ensure that citizens traveling for family reunions or vacations reach their destinations safely and return home without incident.
