Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps has strengthened its public services by accelerating emergency response times, optimizing the 110 emergency hotline, and securing smooth distribution routes for vital logistics and fuel.
The strategic focus was outlined by newly appointed Head of Traffic Corps Brigadier General Aries Syahbudin, who assumed office on 12 October 2026, succeeding Inspector General Wibowo. He underscored that traffic policing must remain professional, fast-responding, humanistic, and safety-oriented.
"The INP Chief emphasized that 'the presence of the police is not just about being physically present. The police must give meaning to that presence.' What we do must be directly felt by the public," Chief Aries said on Saturday (17/10/2026).
He highlighted that traffic personnel are tasked not only with law enforcement, but also with alleviating congestion, managing accident response, and providing immediate roadside assistance.
To ensure seamless logistics, the Traffic Corps is prioritizing traffic management along key transit corridors for basic commodities and fuel supplies by mapping congestion points and coordinating with transportation stakeholders.
Chief Aries instructed all regional traffic units to translate directives from INP Chief General Suyudi Ario Seto into operational solutions tailored to local traffic dynamics across Indonesia.
