inp.polri.go.id - Papua. Police confirmed the shooting against the former Sector Police Chief of Mulia, First Police Inspector Djamal Renhoat (62). The incident occurred on Monday (4/7/2025) at 18.45 pm.

“On Monday, April 7th, 2025, there was a shooting by an unknown person in Kota Lama near tofu factory, Pruleme District, Puncak Jaya Regency,’ says Damai Cartenz Head Ops, Brigadier General Faizal Ramdhani on Tuesday (4/8/2025).

Faizal says that the victim died at the scene. As of now the police are still pursuing the suspect, along with the assigned Mobile Brigade Corps.

Following the shooting, at 19.00 pm, the ambulance of Mulia Regional Hospital arrived at the crime scene and immediately carried the victim to the hospital.

“At 19.10 pm, the victim arrived at the hospital for a medical examination,” says Faizal.
