inp.polri.go.id -  The United States has revoked the mandatory Covid-19 testing when entering the country's territory by air for the foreigners. White House Assistant Press Secretary, Kevin Munoz, announced that the rules would no longer apply starting from this weekend. With this revocation, foreign arrivals no longer need to submit the latest negative Covid-19 results, or proof that they have just recovered from the corona virus 90 days before departure. Munoz said the revocation was possible thanks to President Joe Biden's efforts to continue to boost vaccination and treatment for Covid-19. Entrepreneurs welcome this decision. According to them, this revocation is good news for the US travel business. "We believe we have made a great progress regarding Covid-19 so that this rule can be removed. I think this will be good news for the travel business, for commerce, and corporate America," said US government economic adviser, Brien Deese. This withdrawal is a continuation of a series of easing the Covid-19 prevention rules in recent months. Previously, the US had also lifted the mandatory mask rule. However, a number of health experts criticized this decision, especially since the US was again hit by a new wave of Covid-19 due to the presence of the Omicron variant of the corona virus. The average death rate from Covid-19 in the US has indeed fallen from 2,700 per day in February to around 300 per June. However, a number of experts consider the situation is still not yet conducive.
