inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Minister of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions, Yandri Susanto, urged all village officials to work together to ensure the success of government programs.

"This harmony must be maintained because if the village head is successful in maintaining their region, the village will prosper. It's important to remember that successful village development is tantamount to successful development of Indonesia, as 71 percent of Indonesia's population lives in villages," said the Minister on Tuesday (7/29/2025).

He made this statement while attending the inauguration of the Indonesian Village Officials Association (PPDI) for Bogor Regency at the Auditorium of the Bogor Regency Regional Secretariat, West Java, on Monday.

Minister Yandri further highlighted several flagship village programs from the Prabowo Subianto administration, including the Merah Putih Village Cooperative (Kopdes Merah Putih), Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes), and Free Nutritious Meals (MBG).

If village officials are firm and strong in enforcing their regulations, Minister Yandri is optimistic that government programs in the villages can run optimally. The Minister proposed to Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto that he take steps to transform villages in the regency into thematic villages, such as chili villages, tomato villages, or egg-laying chicken villages.

He stated that once the villages become thematic villages, they can become suppliers of raw materials for the MBG Program. "These thematic villages will then become suppliers of raw materials for the MBG Program," said the Minister.

The Minister added that the raw materials are expected to be developed by the Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes). Meanwhile, the production of these raw materials can be accommodated by the KopDesMerah Putih, which will then distribute them to the MBG Program.
