Inp.polri.go.id - Jayawijaya. Chairman of the Jayawijaya District Indigenous People Association (LMA) Herman Doga urged the people in Wamena not to join groups promoting violence.

"I urge all people to stay calm; don't join illegal, irresponsible groups," he said on Friday (2/24/23), saying that harmonious inter-religions, cultures, and ethnic groups must be maintained in Wamena.

The Chairman emphasized that traditional leaders, the government, the Indonesian Military -Indonesian National Police (INP) have been and continued to work t together for a solution following the riots that caused casualties and injuries.

"We will try to find a solution," he said.
