inp.polri.go.id - Bogor. The Indonesian National Narcotics Agency (BNN) emphasized that the war against drugs cannot begin when an individual has already become a victim.

BNN Head Suyudi Ario Seto stated that the effort against drugs must begin long before, starting with the family, school, and the environment where children grow up, and fostering the ability to say no to drugs.

"That's why we initiated the Ananda Bersinar program, or National Anti-Narcotics Action Starting with Children Clean from Drugs," Suyudi said at the 2026 International Anti-Narcotics Day Commemoration in Bogor Regency, West Java, on Thursday (7/23/2026).

He explained that the program represents a transformation of the BNN's prevention strategy, which places children as the primary subjects of protection by building character, resilience, life skills, literacy on the dangers of narcotics, and strengthening the roles of families, schools, and the social environment.

The BNN designed the Ananda Bersinar program to align with the broader human resource development agenda led by President Prabowo Subianto.

Because, he said, children who are physically healthy, well-nourished, and receive a good education, but lack resistance to drugs, still risk losing their future.

To strengthen the drug prevention ecosystem, BNN, in collaboration with the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, has promoted the Integration of the Anti-Drug Curriculum (IKAN) into the learning process through existing subjects.

Furthermore, Suyudi stated that his agency has also initiated strengthening the scouting movement through the Anti-Narcotics Scout Unit, expanded community-based education, and launched the BNN Call Center 184, which operates 24/7 as a channel for information and public complaints.

"These steps are taken while maintaining the confidentiality of the reporter's identity, in accordance with statutory provisions," he said.
