Inp.polri.go.id - Bandung. West Java Regional Police Chief Inspector General Dr. Akhmad Wiyagus  has announced a series of measures to facilitate travel for holidaymakers passing through West Java. These precautions are in effect across all roads, toll and non-toll alike. "Our focus includes anticipating traffic volume passing through West Java, both via tolls like Cipali, Cisumdawu, Jagorawi, and arterial roads in the north and south," he said. Chief Wiyagus also emphasized inspections of tour buses used for Eid travel, and checks to prevent any reckless driving. "In addition to ensuring vehicle roadworthiness, it's crucial to assess driver quality to avoid hiring unqualified, trigger-happy drivers," he explained. Chief Wiyagus maintained his commitment to reducing accidents during this year's Eid exodus, building on the decrease seen in 2023 compared to 2022. "We aim for a further decrease in accidents in 2024, following the positive trend from 2023. Our goal is to make 2024 even safer than the previous year," he asserted. (mz/hn/nm)
