Inp.polri.go.id - Ketapang. The West Kalimantan Regional Police Mobile Brigade (Brimob), the Ketapang Sub-regional Police and local administration authorities distributed potable drinking water to residents of Sampit Village, Delta Pawan District, Ketapang Regency, on Tuesday (15/9/2026).

Addressing clean water shortages caused by a prolonged drought, officers utilized a specialized Water Treatment tactical vehicle equipped with Reverse Osmosis (RO) technology to purify raw water supplied by local business chambers Kadin and HIPMI.

"Raw water is processed directly through the water treatment unit prior to distribution. Quality testing confirmed the processed water reached a safe pH level of 7.4," said Ketapang Brimob Company Commander Second Inspector Hamid, representing West Kalimantan Brimob Commander Senior Superintendent. Dede Rojudin.

To guarantee safety, Ketapang Police Chief, Delta Pawan Police Chief, and the Sampit Village Head personally tested and drank the purified water before distributing it to residents.

The operation marked the fourth consecutive day of clean water relief in Ketapang Regency, with previous distributions reaching Muliakerta, Tuan-Tuan, and Tanjung Baik Budi villages.
