Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Officers from the West Kalimantan Regional Police Mobile Brigade (Brimob) and the Sintang Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) extinguished a land fire in Kunyai Village, Sungai Tebelian District, Sintang Regency.

"A total of seven officers from Battalion C Pioneer Brimob were deployed to the fire location in Sungai Tebelian District, Sintang," said West Kalimantan Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Bambang Suharyono on Wednesday (7/10/2026).

Joint officers deployed an Armoured Water Cannon (AWC) vehicle to suppress the flames and prevent the fire from spreading toward residential areas. Field officers accounted for wind direction and terrain conditions to ensure all burning materials were fully extinguished. 

Authorities urged residents to refrain from activities that could trigger land fires and to immediately report any emerging hotspots via the 110 Police Call Center.
