inp.polri.go.id – Padang. The Directorate of Samapta (Ditsamapta) of the West Sumatra Regional Police dispatched policewoman (polwan) to patrol and provide education so that the public is more disciplined in implementing health protocols.
Director of Samapta of West Sumatra Regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Achmadi in Padang, Saturday said the policewomen patrol was named the Puti Singgalang Patrol, which aims to make the police appeal more touch the community.
"If male police personnel are used to it, that's why we created innovations by mobilizing policewomen so that the community, especially women, can touch them more humanely," he said.
Director of Samapta of West Sumatra's Regional Police said policewomen personnel patrol every day in crowded locations, such as markets, supermarkets, and others.
In patrolling, he said, they were divided into three teams led by an officer starting at 09.00 AM until 11.00 AM. Meanwhile, for patrols during the day, the policewomen were replaced by male personnel.
Especially on Friday, he said, the policewoman personnel carried out security at the mosque while the congregation was praying Friday prayers.
Security when people are praying Friday prayers so that worshipers feel calm, as well as socializing the prokes and distributing masks to worshipers, said the Director of Samapta of West Sumatra Regional Police.
The Director of Samapta West Sumatra Regional Police said the COVID-19 pandemic was still endemic and asked the public to continue to apply the discipline of health protocols.
We hope that health protocols will be implemented properly, especially the use of masks, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds, and so on, said the Director of Samapta Polda West Sumatra.
