Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Central Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police arrested a 31-year-old woman, USP, for the pre-planned attempted murder of her colleague in Menteng on Tuesday. 

The suspect, identified as USP< initially staged a fraudulent home robbery scenario, claiming two intruders stabbed the victim, identified as 30-year-old man MHA,  and fled with 500 grams of gold jewelry.

"The articles applied are Article 466 for assault and Article 459 in conjunction with Article 17 paragraph 1 for premeditated attempted murder," said Central Jakarta Police Criminal Investigation Chief Superintendent Roby Heri Saputra on Friday (19/6/2026).

Investigators uncovered the truth through scientific investigation after detecting massive inconsistencies in the suspect's timeline and a suspicious one-hour delay in reporting. The suspect, a corporate commissioner, eventually confessed to electrocuting the victim, a company director, before panicking and attacking him with a nitrogen tank, a frying pan, and a knife. The victim survived the assault despite sustaining seven stab wounds.
