Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) reported that 45 residents remain isolated after a major landslide struck Situkung Village in Pandanarum District, Banjarnegara, Central Java, on Saturday.

“The landslide was triggered by heavy rain that caused a cliff to collapse, burying plantations, rice fields, and threatening nearby settlements,” said BNPB spokesperson Abdul Muhari in a written statement on Sunday (16/11/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.

BNPB said evacuation is ongoing, while 660 people from 286 households have fled to the Pandanarum sub-district office. One resident, Klewih (40), was found unconscious with a fracture but has since regained consciousness after treatment. Two others suffered injuries and were referred to RSUD BNA hospital and the local health center, bringing the total injured to three.

The landslide damaged about 30 houses and affected agricultural land. Local authorities have set up field posts, public kitchens, and shelters, while urgent needs now include logistics, mats, blankets, clean water, hygiene kits, and equipment for field operations.

The disaster occurred under an ongoing local emergency alert status effective through 31 May 2026.
