A Total 130 Drug Criminals Secured in a Week in North Sumatra

inp.polri.go.id - North Sumatra. The North Sumatra Regional Police Drug Criminal Investigation Directorate in a week has arrested a total of 130 drug criminals.

The Acting Chief of North Sumatra Regional Police Public Relations, Senior Superintendent Yudhi Surya Markus Pinem says that from the 130 drug criminals, 28 are the users while the rest are involved in drug trafficking.

“In our drug elimination effort from March 17, 2025 to March 24, 2025, we have arrested a total of 130 drug criminals,” says Yudhi on Monday (3/24/2025).

Yudhi says that the stern actions are part of the police’ intensive effort and commitment in eradicating drugs.

From the results of the arrest, the total amount of drugs evidence seized by the police are 7.36 kg of crystal methamphetamine, 821 grams of marijuana, and 34 ecstasy pills. In addition, other evidence used in drug crime activities was also secured, namely 10 motorcycles, 2 cars, IDR 11,898,000 cas, 40 mobile phones and tablets, 14 digital scales, and 8 crystal methamphetamine smoking devices (bongs).

"We appeal to the public to participate in combating drug trafficking. If there is information related to drug abuse or trafficking, immediately report it to the police. Together we will realize a North Sumatra that is safe and free from drugs," said Yudhi Surya Markus Pinem.
