inp.polri.go.id - West Aceh. Aceh Governor Muzakir Manaf, known as Mualem, said that battery, cigarette, and steel industries will soon be established in several regencies/cities in Aceh Province.

"The presence of these industries will boost economic growth in Aceh and create jobs," he said, as reported by Antaranews, Tuesday (7/8/2025).

In his statement, he stated that the battery industry is planned to be built in Aceh Besar Regency, while the cigarette industry and rice mill will be built in North Aceh Regency. A steel mill and iron ore industry will also be built in South Aceh Regency. Meanwhile, the only rubber factory in Aceh has been built and is currently operational is in West Aceh Regency.

He also stated that the presence of various industries in several regencies/cities in Aceh is a concrete manifestation of the Aceh Government's commitment to creating jobs and fostering economic independence in the region.

Furthermore, the presence of a cigarette factory and a rice mill in North Aceh is expected to empower local farmers, who have been actively cultivating rice and tobacco as a means of achieving family economic independence.

Muzakir Manaf stated that the presence of a cigarette and rice factory in North Aceh will provide added value for farmers, while simultaneously creating new economic opportunities and jobs for the community.

Furthermore, the presence of a steel industry in South Aceh will also support economic growth for the community and the local government.
