inp.polri.go.id - West Aceh. The West Aceh Regency BPBD (Regional Disaster Management Agency) has again recorded nine hectares of community-owned land burning in the area.
"Firefighting is still underway in some areas to extinguish the fires," said the Acting Head of the West Aceh Regency BPBD, Teuku Ronal Nehdiansyah, as reported by Antaranews on Tuesday (7/8/2025).
The land currently recorded as having burned in West Aceh Regency includes six hectares in Johan Pahlawan District, consisting of approximately 3 hectares in Lapang Village, approximately 1 hectare in Ujong Beurasok Lapang, and approximately 2 hectares in Suak Raya Village.
In Karang Hampa Village, Arongan Lambalek District, the burned area covered approximately two hectares, and in Mon Pasong Village, West Woyla District, one hectare.
He stated that the lack of water sources was one of the obstacles in extinguishing the fires.
The difficulty of road access to the fire site also posed a challenge for officers in the field. "However, efforts to extinguish the fire are continuing," he explained.
To facilitate firefighting efforts, the West Aceh BPBD also deployed several firefighting vehicles, including one D-Max unit and one 010 unit from the West Aceh BPBD Headquarters.
The firefighting efforts included officers from the West Aceh BPBD, firefighters from the Arongan Lambalek Post, firefighters from the Woyla Post, and Indonesian National Military Forces TNI personnel from the Johan Pahlawan Military District Command and local residents living near the fire site.
