Longgena then gave an example that Purpose is currently working with the Muslim community and how to make climate issues relevant to their community.

"When talking about climate issues, we are not only talking about how to achieve net zero by 2050?, but more to how to bring climate issues closer, such as how in Muslim teachings there is a matter of protecting nature, and climate issues become relevant to them," said Longgena in the discussion “Cerita untuk Cipta: Dari Narasi Menjadi Aksi” held by Purpose Indonesia in Jakarta, Tuesday (6/3/2025).

Longgena also further added about the importance of social movements and the most meaningful impact of social movements is the impact that is built together through a story-based approach, communication, and community action.

"Social movements are the pulse of systemic change, and strategically built communication is its weapon," explained Longgena.

He explained that the power of narrative is the foundation of Purpose to build strategic communication with the spirit of movement generosity, namely the spirit of sharing experiences, strategies, and even failures to strengthen the movement collectively.

"Although the methods have changed, the essence of communication remains relevant in the movement," he concluded.
