inp.polri.go.idinp.polri.go.id - East Flores. Following the eruption of Lewotobi Mountain last Sunday night, the East Flores Sub-regional Police and related stakeholders continue to patrol and provide humanitarian aid to affected areas.

With the status of Mount Lewotobi now at Level IV (Alert), joint personnel from the police and related parties are committed to supporting the affected community.

The joint patrols carried out were aimed not only at maintaining public security and order but also at providing appeals, education, and distributing masks and clean water at evacuation sites.

The Head of East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Public Relations Division, Senior Superintendent Ariasandy says that the clean water supply becomes the main priority for the evacuation posts in Konga Village.

"In addition to aid distribution, the distribution of clean drinking water to refugees in Konga Village is a priority, considering that clean water is a primary need in emergency situations," explained Senior Superintendent Ariasandy.

To date, the number of evacuees has reached 3,071 people, and police personnel are actively appealing to the public to continue to comply with the instructions and directions of the local government during the emergency response period.

The eruption of Mount Lewotobi has claimed nine lives, dozens have been injured, and many buildings have been damaged. Residents from seven surrounding villages, namely Klatanlo, Dulipali, Nobo, Hokeng Jaya, Boru Kedang, Pululera, and Nawakote, were forced to evacuate to avoid the impact of the eruption.
