inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated Budi Gunawan and Tito Karnavian as the National Police Commission Chairman and National Police Commission Deputy Chairman. The appointment was based on Presidential Decree Number 80/M/2024 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of Membership of the National Police Commission.
In addition, members of the National Police Commission for the 2024-2028 period were also inaugurated. In detail, the seven members of the National Police Commission for the 2024-2028 term are the Minister of Law, Supratman Andi Agtas, Inspector General of Police (Ret.) Arief Wicaksono Sudiutomo, Inspector General of Police (Ret.) Ida Oetari Poernamasasih, Supardi Hamid, Gufron, Muhammad Choirul Anam and Yusuf.
"In the name of God, I swear that I will be loyal to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and will conduct according to laws and regulations as best as possible, devoted to the nation and state, that in carrying out my duties and positions, I will uphold the ethics of office, work as well as possible with a full sense of responsibility," said President Prabowo while reading the oath of office which was then followed by new officials of National Police Commission.
Budi Gunawan, in his remarks, explained that the composition of the current National Police Commission came from different backgrounds.
"There are nine of us, three are from government elements, three police experts, three community leaders," said the Head of Kompolnas after undergoing the inauguration ceremony.
