inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo welcomes the working visit from the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Nusron Wahid. In this meeting, the two high-ranking officials discussed the land mafia eradication effort.

Nusron emphasized that his party indeed has to raise this matter with the police as the one who has the authority to uphold and enforce the law. Even, says Nusron, in executing the land dispute case, the role of police is needed as they have the most complete structure in its law enforcement authority.

He also explains that with INP, the ministry and INP agree that there will be zero tolerance to all land mafias. In fact, the land mafia will be charged with the crime of money laundering (TPPU).

“We will chase them to its roots, revealing their money laundering practice, what is the money for, and where they hid the money so we can return those money and land to the state if it is owned by the state, and to the people if it is owned by the people,” says Minister Nusron.

On the other hand, INP Chief General Sigit says his party will support the land mafia eradication process by forming a special task force.

“We will give our full support by immediately forming a joint task force to support the regulation and program of the ministry,” says General Sigit.

Furthermore, General Sigit emphasized that the handling of land mafia cases will be carried out without discrimination. That way, the targets set by President Prabowo Subianto will be met.
