The Deputy Chief of Metro Jaya Regional Police, Brigadier General Djati Wiyoto Abadhy directly approached the rioting community following a truck accident involving a nine years old in Teluk Naga, Tangerang. His visit, accompanied by the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum, was to hold a dialogue with the community.

“With Tangerang Regent and Transportation Department Head, we came as per the request of the people to discuss the Regent Regulations related to the truck operating hours,” says Djati on Friday (11/8/2024).

According to Djati, the current condition around the location has returned to normal. The victim has also been given proper treatment.

On the other hand, police have taken the truck driver to undergo  a urine test. The result of the test showed that the driver tested positive for drugs.

“Yes, he just hit a kid there, and we had a urine test for him. The test showed that he is positive for amphetamine,” explains Djati
