On Saturday (26/4/2024), cadets from the Indonesian Police Academy (Akpol) took part in the Interfaith Cultural Arts Carnival and Ogoh-ogoh Parade in Semarang City, honoring the sacred Galungan celebration. The event began at Semarang City Hall and concluded at Pancasila Field, Simpang Lima.

The cadets enthusiastically performed a lively Baleganjur musical display, a traditional Balinese gamelan ensemble known for its powerful, rhythmic beats that foster unity and excitement among the crowd.

In addition to the musical performance, they participated in the Ogoh-ogoh Parade, where massive effigies symbolizing the purification of negative elements and evil were carried through the streets. This tradition reflects the ongoing human effort to maintain balance, peace, and harmony in the world.                                  

The police cadets’ participation emphasized their commitment to law enforcement and cultural preservation, while reinforcing the Galungan values of good triumphing over evil and promoting unity within society.
