inp.polri.go.id - Semarang. Head of Indonesian National Police (INP) Public Relations Division, Inspector General Sandi Nugroho, said that all police officers bear the responsibility and tasks of public relations in an effort to maintain a conducive situation in cyberspace and in real life.

"All members of INP bear the responsibility and task of public relations," said Sandi at the opening of INP Public Relations Division Technical Working Meeting in Semarang on Tuesday (5/6/2025).

In carrying out public relations functions, he continued, INP personnel must be able to create a cool, safe, and peaceful situation.

The two-star general also asked for the goodness of the police to be disseminated to the public as part of responding to challenges in this digital age.

"Part of the digital challenge is that we cannot stop the flow of negative news on. Thus, we have to respond by also continuing to show our good side to the public," he said.

Meanwhile, the Assistant for Human Resources (HR) of the Chief of Police, Inspector General Anwar in his direction said that the Public Relations Division is the vanguard of the institution.

The Public Relations Division, he continued, is not only tasked with conveying information, but also building collective awareness to maintain security, law, and order.

"The success of the Public Relations Division is not only measured by how often it conveys information, but also how much information conveyed can build trust and encourage public participation in creating social stability," he said.
