inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) have been holding simultaneous police operations since May 1, 2025 in order to eradicate thuggery which is considered to be increasingly rampant and disturbing the community and has the potential to disrupt security stability and the national investment climate.

Head of the Public Information Bureau of INP Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko said that the operation was stated in a Telegram Letter with the number STR/1081/IV/OPS.1.3./2025 which was addressed to all ranks of the Regional Police and Resort Police in Indonesia.

Trunoyudo emphasized that this operation is INP's commitment to maintaining security and supporting national economic growth.

"This operation aims to take firm action against the perpetrators and uncover the network of thuggery as a whole," he said.

This operation, he said, was carried out with a law enforcement approach supported by intelligence, preemptive, and preventive activities.

Then, the types of crimes that are the focus of the operation include extortion, threats, intimidation, ganging up, and assault carried out by individuals or groups.

"Any form of thuggery that disrupts public order and the business climate will be dealt with firmly. This is part of an effort to create a sense of security and legal certainty, especially for business actors in Indonesia," he said.
