The step was taken to secure and prevent sabotage and threats that may appear from the wild drones.

Head of Public Relations Task Force for Ops Mantap Praja Agung 2024, Senior Superintendent Jansen Avitus Panjaitan said that the aerial monitoring aims to anticipate the presence of illegal drones without permission which could later disrupt the activities of the General Election Commission (KPU) National Coordination Meeting.

"The activities of the anti-drone sub-task force are in accordance with the target of the operation and the activities are in accordance with the standard operational procedure (SOP). We will take firm action against illegal drones that are considered dangerous and disruptive at The Meru Sanur Hotel," explained Jansen

Until now, no illegal drones have been found or detected on the monitoring equipment used by the Anti-Drone Sub-task Force.
