inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) outlined a special distribution scheme for Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) during the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri holiday and the collective Eid al-Fitr leave period, as stipulated in Circular Letter (SE) Number 3 of 2026.
The Head of BGN, Dadan Hindayana, stated that from March 18-24, MBG distribution would not be carried out for all target beneficiaries, both students and non-students. Instead, distribution would be carried out earlier.
"The distribution will take place on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, consisting of one package of healthy food plus three bundled packages of healthy packaged MBG allocated from Wednesday, March 18, 2026, to Friday, March 20, 2026," explained Dadan on Monday (2/23/2026).
He explained that the bundled package is a combination of healthy packaged MBG food packages for consumption for several days, distributed simultaneously. However, the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) emphasized that the maximum shelf life of the food received is three days.
"The Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) is required to provide brief education on how to store and consume the bundled packages within a maximum of three days, and to emphasize that the packages are specifically for targeted MBG beneficiaries," continued Dadan.
BGN also ensured that the national nutrition fulfillment program through MBG services would continue during Ramadan. For pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and toddlers aged 6–59 months, MBG services would remain fully operational during this period.
Meanwhile, in areas where the majority of beneficiaries are not fasting, MBG distribution would continue to follow the normal schedule, with ready-to-eat menus.
