Inp.polri.go.id - Semarang. Central Java Regional Police have arrested four men identified as members of the GRIB Jaya, a civil society organization, or locally known as mass organization (ormas) for allegedly vandalizing and stealing property belonging to state railway company PT KAI in Semarang.
Central Java Police Director of General Criminal Investigation Senior Superintendent. Dwi Subagio said on Monday (19/5/2025) that the suspects were arrested on Saturday by the Operation Aman Candi 2025 task force.
"The investigation confirmed the suspects are affiliated with GRIB Jaya," he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
He explained that the group damaged a fence and took several metal materials from a PT KAI property without authorization. The incident was caught on CCTV, and the police acted following a report from PT KAI's Semarang regional office.
Evidence recovered includes a vehicle believed to have been used to transport the stolen goods and a letter of mandate signed by the head of GRIB Jaya's Semarang branch.
The suspects are charged for violence and theft.
