inp.polri.go.id - Palu. Central Sulawesi Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Agus Nugroho welcomes and praised his 104 personnel returning from Papua. In celebrating the return of his personnel, the welcoming ceremony was held at Mobile Brigade Unit Command HQ on Friday to praise their dedication and work in maintaining security in Papua.
In the ceremony, Agus thanked and expressed his deepest gratitude to all mobile brigade personnel involved. He says that their success in joining the Damai Cartenz Ops showed their high spirit and professionalism in carrying out their duty.
“We are proud and respect all personnel that have successfully carried out their duties with high dedication and spirit,” says Agus.
The 2024 Damai Cartenz Ops, which is going from January 1st to December 31st, have successfully provided a more safe and secured Papua. The highlight of the operation is the rescue of Susi Air Pilot, Captain Philip Mark Mehrtens, who was held hostage by the Armed Criminal Group. The release of Captain Philip was carried out through a persuasive approach without violence.
On the other hand, the operation also managed to arrest several members of the Armed Criminal Group and seized their weapons.
In his remark, Agus says that the success of the operation does not only bring honor to his personnel who are involved, but also the family of Central Sulawesi Regional Police. He hopes that this achievement can be the source of motivation and inspiration to continue improving their work in facing future challenges.
“This success shows professionalism, commitment, and integrity shown by our brothers in carrying out their duty,” Agus concludes.
