Inp.polri.go.id - Cianjur. The Cianjur Sub-regional Police are expanding their investigation into the Sunda Archipelago group for forging vehicle registration documents (STNK), uncovering additional falsifications of land certificates, marriage licenses, ID cards, and driver’s licenses.
“Our investigation revealed the suspects also forged land certificates, ID cards, and marriage books,” said Cianjur Police Chief Assistant Senior Inspector Tono Listianto on Saturday (15/3/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The counterfeit documents closely resemble official state documents, making them difficult to detect. However, they contain subtle alterations, replacing government identifiers with “Sunda Archipelago Kingdom.”
Authorities arrested four individuals, including a self-proclaimed “Junior General” of the group, and confiscated forged STNKs, a printing machine, and several vehicles suspected of being fraudulently obtained.
The case was uncovered following a report from a rental car owner whose vehicle went missing in Cianjur, leading to the discovery of falsified vehicle registration documents linked to the group.
